Financial Literacy For Women, By Women

What is The Money Project?

It’s time to live the life of financial freedom that you deserve - are you ready?

Founded by financial educator Sharlene Jamieson, The Money Project was born to encourage women and young people to feel empowered to handle their finances like a #boss, no matter their walk of life.

The Money Project is a safe, judgment-free space for individuals to come together to sustainably strengthen financial literacy skills and adopt the foundations required to build a monetarily stress free and empowered life, no matter what gets thrown in the mix. Sharlene provides access to the resources and solutions to help

No two people are the same, that’s why we developed our financial education to be completely malleable. We don’t believe in giving up what you enjoy in order to get your finances in check - life is for living, and our money tips and tricks are designed for just that.

Whether you’re lost about how to reign in the weekly spending, on the hunt for easy ways to save money on a tight budget, or simply ready to pick up a few new budgeting tips, The Money Project is here to help you navigate your world of money and live the life that you deserve, one dollar at a time.

About Our Workshops

From money saving ideas to becoming your own personal financial advisor.

Run by our qualified and experienced founder, Sharlene Jamieson, The Money Project workshops provide our participants the opportunity to deep dive into how to manage finances and manage money on their own terms. We believe that financial literacy skills are the building blocks to long-term financial simplicity, and we hero that as the core of everything we teach.

We’re not here to send our participants away with a one-size-fits-all method, we’re here to help develop life-long skills to manage finances and manage money in a way that works for and celebrates individual lifestyles. From school incursions to privately organised workshops, we tailor our programs to ensure everyone walks away with a new feather of knowledge in their caps.

“Sharlene from The Money Project facilitated a series of workshops for us and delivered what can be a daunting topic in an easy to understand, interactive and down to earth manner. Sharlene is an excellent communicator and I highly recommend her service.”

— Helen Dwyer, Co-Founder, The EVE Project

How Can The Money Project Support Your Community?

It takes a village. That’s why our mission at The Money Project is to unite communities through the power of financial education. We partner with not-for-profits, schools and private organisations to deliver in-depth financial literacy workshops to provide their communities with the tools to succeed.

We understand that recovering from financial stress can be an emotional and confronting process. Every lesson we teach not only works towards bettering financials, but making sure our participants feel empowered and supported to the highest degree.

Building A Budget

Budgets help us live within our means, and ensure that every dollar is going to areas of value. A good budget keeps us on track, helps us save, but still lets us enjoy the fun things in life. In other words, mimosas are on us!

Dealing With Debt

Around 1.9 million Aussies have some form of nasty credit card debt. If you one of them, know you are not alone! Chipping away at debts practically and sustainably allows us to plan for the financially free life we deserve.

Rainy Day Funds

You never know what’s around the corner, that’s why it pays (pun intended) to prepare for unexpected costs. You’d be surprised how things add up when you consistently hide away even a small amount of each pay.

Investing 101

Whether you’re an experienced crypto-trader, or interested in ETFs, investing is for everyone! Investing doesn’t only equate to short-term financial gain via dividends, but can create a fantastic passive income stream over time.
